SPECIAL TRACK SESSIONS

The Festival of Motorcycling will feature special track sessions for Vintage (Pre-1960) motorcycles on Saturday (which must meet 103dBA noise test) and Historic Race Bikes on Sunday with a relaxed noise limit (although all bikes must use original silencers) giving owners the rare opportunity to ride them on track, and spectators the enjoyment of seeing them in action

We appreciate that these bikes are often very valuable and in many cases quite fragile so a full day on track is too much, but owners still want to be able to use them which is why we've scheduled two special sessions each day for these wonderful machines

In addition to the two sessions we will be showcasing all these machines on track each lunchtime, when owners/riders are invited to park them on the starting grid and the circuit will be open for everyone to enjoy a Grid Walk to see the bikes and talk to the owners

The second special session of each day will be immediately after the lunch break from the starting grid, so spectators will be asked to clear the track for the time-honoured announcement of "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

These special track session bookings cost just £50 and also include two adult weekend entry tickets to the festival (worth £50!), access to all the features taking part across the venue, Saturday evening entertainment and camping from 6pm Friday

Because places are very limited and we want to give everyone a fair chance to take part, we're asking owners to register their interest and bike information - you're welcome to bring 2 bikes and ride different bikes in each session - and we'll confirm entries by return
