FESTIVAL OF MOTORCYCLING STAR GUESTS
RANDY MAMOLA
13 times GP winner Randy Mamola needs no introduction. With a Grand Prix career spanning 13 years from 1979 to 1992, riding for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and Cagiva, he was one of the most successful racers of the time with 54 podiums and was four times World Champion runner up. Randy also won the Race of the Year at Mallory Park in 1980 riding a Suzuki RG500 and he will be reunited with the same race winning bike at this year's Festival of Motorcycling.
After his racing career Randy was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000 and the MotoGP Legends Hall of Fame by FIM in 2018. Randy also become involved in philanthropy helping to found the Riders for Health charity organization and more recently Two Wheels for Life, with 2025 being the first year of their new charity event "The Big Ride" which brings riders from all across the British Isles with the finishing point being the Festival of Motorcycling at Mallory Park on Saturday afternoon, when Randy and Niall will lead a 2 lap parade around Mallory Park.
NIALL MACKENZIE
Niall started out on his three decade career on what turned out to be one of the most iconic machiones of recent years: the Yamaha RD350LC. He managed to bag four British Championships before escaping to 500 Grand Prix. Seven podiums and a 4th place in the 1990 World Championship were the highlights plus many Endurance races including Le Mans and the Bol d’Or plus seven Suzuka 8 hours with a best result of second in 1992, not forgetting five years in the British Superbike Championship taking three titles with the Cadbury’s Boost Yamaha Team.
Niall joins us at the Festival of Motorcycling with Randy Mamola to lead The Big Ride Parade on Saturday afternoon, and later in the evening on stage with Randy to talk about their careers and the Two Wheels for Life charity and their aims for the Big Ride in the future
